Baguley Athletic is run in its entirety by volunteers, with all coaches, support staff and committee members donating their time freely, over and above the commitments of daily life. The enthusiasm and dedication of our volunteers has been the cornerstone to the development of Baguley Athletic since its formation, but as the club develops further, our need for additional volunteers grows – and that’s where you come in.​

You may already know someone playing for the club, or you may be a complete newcomer to Athletic. Your time commitment may be as little as a few hours a week, or subject to working shifts – either way you can still contribute to the clubs development. You may have a football background, or have other skills ideal for fulfilling support roles such as treasurer, team administrator etc, or perhaps you would wish to be part of our marketing, club development or fund raising teams.

Whatever your skill, we would be grateful for your help. Please see below current roles available.

Vice Chair: The main duty of the VICE CHAIR is to help the chairman in any way possible. This can include preparing for committee meetings or communicating new policies to the relevant personnel.

Club Treasurer: The CLUB TREASURERS main role is to ensure the collection and disbursement of club funds is accurate.
The TREASURER is responsible for keeping accurate books that will enable him/her to give a full financial report whenever requested. The TREASURER should do his/her best to see that everything is done meticulously so that there are no doubts about his/her integrity.

Head of Men's Football: The main contact between each of our Open Age Teams and the Management Committee. Should any problems arise at Team Management level, you will be their first point of contact.

Head of Development: The Heads of Development will look to establish new teams in areas we are yet to establish, such as Female, Youth and Disability Football. You will also be tasked with appointing a "head of" once teams are set up.

Registration & Membership Officer: The Registration & Membership Secretary is responsible for maintaining and administering a membership database of all members and managing the renewal/withdrawal of members.

Discipline Officer: The Discipline Secretary is responsible for administering the discipline of Club members.

Commercial & Sponsorship Officer: Managing all marketing and sponsorship for Baguley Athletic and coordinating marketing campaigns.

Event Planning Manager: The Event Planning Manager will produce events from conception through to completion.

Funding Manager: To locate and complete any funding applications that may benefit the club or its ongoing ideas/growth

Community Liaison: The Community Liaison will look to raise the profile of the club within the local community and will attend local events on behalf of the club.

The above roles are all based within the Club Committee and will play a vital part in our growth and long term success.

We also have roles available for a Physio, Sports Rehabilitation, Photographer / Videographer, Website Manager, Social Media Manager, eBrochure / Newsletter Editor, Match Reporter.
These roles will see you working closely within each club squad and their players.

Any help you can give to our club is greatly appreciated by all. You can give as little or as much time as you wish and we are very relaxed in our approach to future success.

About our club

Baguley Athletic is a football club based in Baguley (South Manchester)

We provide recreational and competitive football for the community of Baguley and the surrounding areas to promote healthy and active lifestyles from the age of 18 years old and up. We are always looking at new ways to move our club forward and are very flexible in our approach to youth development.

The Club currently includes FOUR adult squads competing in local leagues affiliated to the Manchester FA. Future expansion plans will create a new Youth Academy, as well as a Womens (Open Age) Team
