City of Peterborough Hockey Club

Bretton Gate,

10 Yes Volunteers needed

We are always keen to welcome people who want to help out - running such a big club needs alot of volunteers. From qualified umpires to team managers with hockey or other team experience as a player or manager, to people who enjoy behind the scenes work such as seeking sponsorship, helping to organise social events or looking after members off the pitch, we can accommodate you. We are particularly interested in someone who can assist our our Publicity Officer in turning weekly captain's match reports and cup competition reports into usable copy for the local press and club website, and writing match previews.
We are also looking for someone with an interest in Social media, as well as people who can help with some of the club adminsttation.
We are also planning on running a course to allow parents to be more involved in helping at junior coaching sessions and managing and coaching teams in junior matches, from 8 year olds upwards.

About our club

We are one of the largest hockey clubs in the East region with 8 mens & 4 ladies league sides, and a thriving junior section for both boys and girls. We pride ourselves on our family-friendly approach, with our own clubhouse right next to the pitch providing a safe environment for all ages.
