10 Yes Volunteers needed
Volunteers to assist serving in the clubhouse tuck-shop/café would be welcome to work alongside the current café manager. The clubhouse is fully open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:15 to 9:15 and we would prefer that volunteers help on a regular (same day each week or same day every fortnight) basis. General help in looking after the clubhouse (cleaning and tidying etc.) is also welcome.
We would also welcome volunteers to assist with coaching the young athlete groups working alongside one of the qualified coaches. No formal qualification is necessary but would need to be confident dealing with young people.
Anyone wishing to progress to a formal qualification in coaching or officiating would be supported by the club through the England Athletics training.
About our club
Nuneaton Harriers is a small and lively athletics club based at the Pingles Stadium in Nuneaton. We offer track and field athletics, road and cross-country running and race walking. We welcome young athletes from age 7 upwards and despite being a small club we have athletes that have won National and World championship titles. We celebrate all successes at all levels and encourage all our athletes to train and compete to the best of their abilities.
To keep subscriptions and training fees at an affordable level we rely on volunteers to work as coaches, officials and to help in many other ways to run the club. The café in the club-house makes an important contribution to the finances and the life of the club.
