Shevington Sharks

20 Shevington Lane,
Wigan WN6 8BQ,

20+ Yes Volunteers needed

Previous experience or skills would obviously be useful, but we would welcome new volunteers who are enthusiastic to help make a difference. They do not necessarily need to have volunteered before, and everyone will bring new skills and individual enthusiasm to the club

About our club

Shevington Sharks is a Amateur Rugby League Club based in Wigan. We have teams from Cubs and every age group up to Open Age. We want to encourage, and would welcome all new volunteers to our club. We feel all new volunteers will have skills that can take the club forward and increase our player and non player membership.
2018-19 will be a huge year for the club and the wider community when we will move into our brand new, purpose built, facilities. This, without doubt, is the biggest event in the clubs history sine we were founded in 1979. With the new facilities it will bring many new and exciting challenges from Groundmanship, Maintenance etc but also to increase our player and volunteer base by looking a Women’s teams, Touch Rugby etc
We would welcome new volunteers to join the club and help take us forward and continue to build Shevington Sharks

Upcoming event

The new purpose built facilities is huge for the club during 2018-19. The meetings, fundraising etc is all essential to help provide the best facilities for our players, members, parents, supporters and volunteers.
But whilst this is paramount for the club to grow, we must not forget the ‘day job’ which is to continue to increase player/volunteer numbers, work within the local community and with ALL our current teams
