About our club
The Sandhurst & District Corps of Drums is a traditional styled youth marching band. They are a registered charity (1110329). The Corps main aim is to build the confidence of children and young people by way of performance. No musical knowledge is required as we teach all the basic to enable you to take part. They take part in many community events such as fetes, parades, carnivals and demonstrations. The main Corps of Drums is for children and young people aged 10 -18 years of age and there is also a Training band for children 7 -9 years of age. They teach side and bass drum, bugle, Bell-lyre (glockenspiel) and recently have started a Bagpipe section. They charge a weekly subscription of £2.50 which is paid on a quarterly basis. In addition to this there is a £25 deposit on some of the uniform.
